Code of Conduct

Association Latinos Code of Conduct 

Purpose: This Code of Conduct ensures all Association Latinos events, both in-person and virtual, are safe, inclusive, and free from harassment, allowing all participants to engage fully and benefit equally. 

  1. Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all participants, staff, and speakers with respect, dignity, and consideration. Practice inclusivity by actively involving diverse voices and perspectives and accommodating individual needs where feasible. 

  2. Professional Integrity: Conduct yourself with integrity and professionalism. This includes appropriate attire, punctuality, and preparedness for event activities, irrespective of the format.  

  3. Non-Discrimination: Discrimination of any kind, including based on age, race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity, is prohibited. Association Latinos is committed to providing a welcoming environment for all. 

  4. Harassment-Free Environment: Harassment in any form, including physical or verbal conduct that harasses, disrupts, or interferes with another’s participation, or that creates an intimidating or hostile environment is not tolerated, both online and offline. 

  5. Privacy and Confidentiality: Respect the confidentiality and privacy of others. Do not disclose private information without consent, and respect the boundaries of other participants, including in online interactions and communications.

  6. Compliance with Venue and Event Rules: Adhere to all venue and virtual platform rules, including safety protocols and emergency procedures. Ensure your behavior complies with these guidelines to maintain a safe environment for everyone.

  7. Reporting Misconduct: If you experience or witness behavior that contravenes this Code of Conduct, report it immediately to event organizers or through designated channels (events@associationlatinos.org). All complaints will be taken seriously, treated confidentially, and investigated promptly.  

  8. Enforcement: Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, including but not limited to removal from the event without refund, exclusion from future events, and notification of appropriate authorities. 

By participating in any Association Latinos event, whether in-person or online, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct and contribute positively to the overall experience of all attendees.
